I've got a Thunder Tiger 46 Pro 2 stroke that should be OK for this.

Ermmm... No chance! ;-) I'm close to finishing the EP Decathlon I've got, but this one's next in the queue... It might be bumped up the queue if I crash the old crate! Still need to find somone with a Futaba buddy lead that works!

I thought PaulD had a lead? Didn't it work?

Here's a tech notice that suggests which lead you should use...

No, the lead we were trying to get working last weekend was one I'd ordered off of eBay. We couldn't get it working...

Was your T6J the master? It really shouldn't be too difficult if its the correct lead, but then I'm not a Futaba guru...

We tried it both ways round with my radio as the master and as a slave. I suspect the lead I have is wrong for the 6J. The lead is a square plug on one end to round DIN plug and then with a DIN to square plug adapter fitted on the other end. After reading the instructions (Which I should have done before ordering! ). It does say not to use the DIN leads. I suspect the pin out is different. I need to get a genuine square plug to square plug lead.
